Amoureux,
a homozygous black stallion, measuring 169 cm (16.3hh) with
a pedigree of legendary ancestry. Expressive, head turning,
and that "look at me factor" modern, long legged
and refined, he possesses three equally good paces, a ground
covering walk, elasticity and suppleness in his trot with
excellent use of the front leg. He has a very impressive uphill
canter that springs from the ground with ease and lightness.
Adding to all his other qualities Amoureux has a remarkable
calm outlook on life, gentle, affectionate, intelligent and
a willing work ethic.
In a very short time frame he has already proven to be a
progenitor of his own strengths and positive attributes, an
opinion shared by many National and overseas judges, breeders
and mare owners. Due to his genetic make up being homozygous
black, Amoureux cannot produce chestnut foals.
Amoureux is now clearly demonstrating a special aptitude
for the advanced work in his training and will be working
steadily towards Prix St George over the winter months 2011/12.
He debuted his dressage career in Scotland with his first
outing at Ingliston Equestrian Centre at the age of five.
After just two months of training on first outing he qualified
for the Sheerwater British Young Horse Five Year Old Elementary
Championship Hartpury Festival of Dressage 2010.scoring 78%.
The following weekend saw a double win in the Novice Open
and the Badminton Young Dressage Horse Of The future Qualifier
with 78%
In June 2010 Amoureux won both the Sheerwater Potential International
Dressage Horse with 78% qualifying for the British Dressage
National Championships and scored 80% in the Badmington Young
Dressage Horse improving on his former score. The British
Magazine "Horse & Hound" quoted "Potential
International star emerges in Scotland".

Jumping
Potential
Not only has Amoureux proven himself to have great potential
in the dressage arena but he also shows great promise and
ability as a show jumper, at the SSH National Loose Jumping
Championship 80% for Conformation, 80% overall Movement and
80% in all elements of the jumping phase, scope, take off,
technique, bascule and attitude, placing an overall fifth
against some exceptionally well bred horses combining many
of Europe's top show jumping bloodlines.
Amoureux also shows good form ridden over fences. With his
technique and powerful canter, Amoureux is very much a dual
purpose sire and an ideal choice for the amateur and single
mare owner perhaps breeding for the first time as his progeny
are not only beautiful and talented but have workable, trainable
temperaments.

His
Progeny:
Amoureux has proven popular as a sire in his first seasons
at stud with both amateur and professional breeders. The worthiness
of any sire can only ever be proven by the quality and success
of his progeny. His first foals demonstrate clearly that he
adds expression and athleticism, he refines the head, adding
length to neck and limb, raising the forehand. He produces
exceptionally light footed foals with excellent use of the
foreleg frequently adding length of stride often in all three
paces, most have shown to inherit his exceptional canter.
Out of his first crop of foals, six were presented at the
SSH Gradings from a variety of mare types, five of which scored
first premiums. Two of his daughters scored the second highest
average score of 78% out of 40 foals presented with very good
marks for conformation and movement.
At the North Of The Border Foal Show, his daughter "Elissona",
out of our homebred pony mare "Alkatinna" by Umenno
won the Sports Pony Championship and his daughter, "Cullenbay
Aurora", was placed third in a very strong sports horse
foal class judged by Lynn Crowden. His first premium coloured
son, "Solaris Excalibur", out of our homebred mare
"Achanenna" was sold to Spain at a few weeks old
as a potential stallion candidate and sports horse.
