Achanenna by "Umenno"
is a descendant of no less than three world class progenitors
of international show jumpers, Contender, Nimmerdor and Grand
Veneur.
Her Dam is our first homebred mare "Solaris
Chiquita" by Capuccinno Van Berkenbroek (BWP and
SSH Licensed stallion) a son of the great Holstein stallion
Contender.
Chiquita also shows tremendous jumping ability when shown
loose and was awarded "Ster" status with the Stud
Book in 2009.
Her grand dam is our successful State performance tested
and successful show jumping, foundation "Keur" mare
"Quinine"
Sadly In July 2006, Nenna was rushed to the Royal Dick Veterinary
clinic in Edinburgh with a suspected fractured hock, confirmed
with X-rays, she underwent surgery. She recovered well but
regrettably Nenna was left unable to follow a ridden career.
She has nonetheless become a valuable addition to our breeding
program and is proving to pass on above average quality of
movement to her progeny.
In 2009 Nenna produced an exquisite coloured colt foal "Excalibur"
by "Amoureux", "Excalibur" was sold to
Spain at a few weeks of age having been awarded a first premium
at the Scottish Sports Horse mare and youngstock gradings.
In 2010 a full brother to Excalibur, "Solaris Flambeaux"
was born, a quality colt, with superlative quality to his
paces.
Achanenna is once again in foal to Amoureux for 2012.
